Serving tourists well is not the greatest achievement we can aspire to, and it is not the mandate of the cultural community at all,” writes Bahamian Lynn Sweeting, in a post outlining her evolution from artist creating “tourist-friendly” works to one making work that “inspires the collective native soul.”
