[...] Following their virtual conference last November, Tanzanian bloggers are currently discussing the details of the organization they are intending to form. A blog has been set up by the interim committe, to facilitate the process. So far, they have chosen the name for the organization, Jumuiya ya Wanablogu Tanzania (the community of Tanzanian bloggers). The current discussion is about leadership structure. There will be a single item for discussion every week. Later on, there will be an open competition to design the logo of the organization.
Hey, I'm happy to have discovered this forum. My blog is about Tanzania in general and the School of St Jude (Arusha) in particular.

I'm looking forward to learn more about your conference.

Asante Mwangi. You are right. These seeds will grow and grow. What I have learned so far is that although blogging is our main focus, in the process of establishing an effective blogging community, we are also learning a lot of things (community building, networking, e-democracy, e-organizing, and all the challenges of building a community using a new digital environment [tools, behavior, practices, etc]).

Joshua: we have to get in touch about sharing our experiences with Uganda.

Wow, I read about the conference in Bloggers Conference Tanzania not long ago. I am really happy to see how this whole blogging thing has the power change so much. Especially in nations such as Uganda and Tanzania. It is my understanding that some countries are fighting their blogging communities. It is wonderful to see you sowing the seeds of empowerment in your respective communities. There is no doubt in my mind that if you continue those seeds will grow into mighty forests-and that is encouragement for the whole world.
