[...] The Singapore blogs are a good place to learn what is truly revolutionary about an open virtual space like Second Life, from the perspective of a community of enterprising individuals deeply engaged in exploring its potential. As Global Voices Online points out: decent broadband Infrastructure and familiarity with online technologies makes Singaporeans avid experimenters of emerging technological trends. It is not uncommon to find Singaporean blogger topping Technorati’s listing once every couple of months and Singapore based meetup groups often have more members than the ones from bigger cities.
Preetam, nice summary on the state of Singapore's virtual society. Talking about new edges, we'll be seeing a new wave of cybercrime hitting virtual environments. This is especially so since more people are entering this new space and virtual economies fast are becoming real. I won't be surprised to see Singaporeans (being the tech-savvy nation) end up experimenting in that space. :)

I've followed Singapore blogging for some time now. Matter of fact, almost 40% of my previous blog's traffic came FROM Singapore, which I think is amazing! Sinagporeans are definitely on the cutting edge of the blogosphere! Much of the credit should go to Wendy Cheng, who blogs as Xiaxue, and to Miss Izzy a/k/a Sarong Party Girl.

Singaporeans are also famous for stuffing the Technorati ballot box: I followed a few "campaigns" where Singaporeans bombarded Technorati on purpose: their two biggest T-rati coups were led by foreign curiosity: the interest over the Tammy NYP scandal and blogger Dawn Yang's alleged plastic surgery.
