Russia is not merely a nation but a nation of nations, thousands of georgian, armenian, german and french people live in Russia. No risks will be taken by Russians to stop this action. A little discussion in the blogosphere but nothing on the streets, nothing on TV, nothing in newspapers that reach a wide audience. So many stood silently by while racism was rising in Russia, while the KGB was taking power, and so many Russophiles rationalized and explained it, and nothing was done to stop it. Russians allowed their television to be taken over by the state, allowed the Kremlin to appoint their governors, allowed the Soviet anthem to be reborn, allowed the Kremlin to intervene in Ukraine, use energy blackmail, poison Yushchenko. There were those, like me, who sounded the warning call, yet a deaf ear was turned.
