Israel is big on "punishing". Seems as if it is in their DNA. I am happy only because the Mearsheimer Walt paper is getting good publicity in the U.S. , it will be made into a book and there was a large debate over it in New York. All this represents an awakening in this country to the wrongs of AIPAC, the mistake of giving billions to Israel every year so they can buy bigger bombs, and the harm it does THIS country as well as others to follow along like a puppy dog behind any atrocities Israel decides to commit. "Why do they hate us, indeed?" If I lived in another ME country, how would I be feeling about the U.S., Israel's best friend and bomb supplier? They are internationally recognised as occupied territories. To say nothing of illegally annexed land, an illegal building of a wall, the illegal destruction of Palestinian homes and the illegal building of settlements on top of those homes. By default, having your military on another peoples' lands is considered an occupation of those lands. and some would argue that a foreign force occupying a people's land for over half a century and constantly targeting them is also an act of war. i am one of those people. thanks for the comment.
