Congratulations on making the list of 7 finalists for the University of Maryland’s Knight-Batten Awards 2006. Checked out the competition and noted that we (the GVO community) are the only international project in-the-running. Great work!

The recognition is doubly sweet for us…and blogging from a country with identical twins serving as President and PM, we know something about doubles.

Not only is it sweet because we are now involved directly with the GV updates (and Veronica K’s essential reminders!), but to have met the people behind the voices at London GV 2005 *was* the motivation for us actually getting directly involved, and it still resonates.

I really hope another GV convention is going to happen, it was without a doubt worth the time & effort.
