Whenever you have Government involved you are limiting peoples’ freedom because you are imposing barriers on them. eBay does not plan on putting any regulations on this kind of a problem. Try reverse auctions instead; a place where you (as a buyer) are in charge who you are going to buy from and for how much. Try it here http://www.oltiby.com
Reverse auctions don’t really help the situation. What’s needed is to try and stop people going outside the auction process.
The issue raised in the article is that buyers try to go outside the process, a reverse auction is just a form of classified. If the buyer sets the price and it’s below what the seller wants for their item then surely it’s a waste of time for both the buyer and seller.
