Le Blog du Congolais ponders (Fr) the possibility of a secession of Katanga Province : “The neocolonialists have thought of all possible scenarios, especially that of a defeat [in the upcoming presidential election] of the only person who can assure the continuity of their [mining] business, Joseph Kabila, the incumbent. They are predictably courting Katangan chiefs (…) by causing them to envision great prosperity for Katanga if it detaches from the Congo.”

people of Katanga don’t prefer the secession, but other provinces caracters push again Katangese to start thinking about.
how! when us Katangese, we want to develop our province but other want to bloc us, when we want 40%, but other are opposed, how can we develop with such mentallity?that’s why by seeing the opportunities that offor the province, people of katanga start thinking about that if ourselve we can easly develop our province because other don’t want or don’t like their country.

We want to have our country the katanga is a country and not a province in DRcongo please
only a fool will adovcate such nonsense. Whelter in katanga, or bas-congo we are after all bantu. Our history is interlocked no way of breaking the links. Congo is one. Katanga needs Bas congo’s port and electricity to upstart it’s industry. Congo must do all to get rid of this trouble makers in our country. Get rid of this tutsis and westerners they seem to be the only group of people in the world who are divisionist and separtist. Congo is one!!
