I leave in Unites state for 20 years. I never have any hing good that I can share with my friends to make them know I have nice thing in my hometown. But when I saw that beautiful cathedral, I was really amazed. I send a couple e-mail to friends all over the place, even in Port-au-prince to let them know how proud I am as an
Hinchois. Keep up the good work and God be with you.

The problem with haiti, is that haitians that once live there have move away in pretend as if they don’t know the true reality of Haiti . The fact is haiti is like any other country with your good in bad parts, believe me when I say that. We have an image problem we need to work on our image by counter balancing the negative image feed to the world about Haiti. Just because the world say we are not shit, we don’t have to agree. We really need to educate the people on their history in culture in what the world think of them .Believe me, that would make a world of difference. The sugar feild next door is like putting them in slavery .We need to educate the poor fast!

this Cathedral is the best thing i ever have in hinche (my birth place ) . everytime i’m looking at this picture , it makes me proud to be an Hinchois .

While enjoying the picture of the new cathedral, we should not forget the old one. It has some historical value for being one the oldest churches of the New World.
