Bobby,

I'm an old friend or Roger's. We worked together for 10 years in Oak Lawn, IL. I would love to catch up with him. I spoke with him in 1996 (?) as he was leaving for Haiti. If you find him, I would appreciate his e-mail address, or if you can pass mine along to him.

Thanks

First, I do not reply to spam! but this one is tempting (also you're not real enough and/or brave enough to use a real name but despite of that too it is still tempting). Irshad Manji is entitled to her biased, pro-Israeli opinion but her shortsightedness is shameful to say the least. It is not a problem of a concrete wall but an aparthied state that was and continue to be compared to aparthied Africa. Life of a Palestinian VS that of an Israeli, does the wall divide or does it kill??

I can go on and on about the location of the wall, and why wasn't it built inside of the green line and why cut schools and prevent education when Palestinians have enough trouble finding bread and butter at the end of each day. Live as a Palestinian before you dare to speak.

And please, be kind and respectful enough to stop spamming Palestinian blogs thinking that it will "enlighten" us or at least distract the international reader from the truth!

Irshad Manji Got it Right Today in the New York Times

Irshad Manji got it right today in her New York Times opinion piece titled “How I Learned to Love the Wall.” Ms. Manji writes, “this barrier, although built by Mr. Sharon, was birthed by "shaheeds," suicide bombers whom Palestinian leaders have glorified as martyrs. Qassam missiles [launched at Israel] can kill two or three people at a time. Suicide bombers lay waste to many more. Since the barrier went up, suicide attacks have plunged, which means innocent Arab lives have been spared along with Jewish ones. Does a concrete effort to save civilian lives justify the hardship posed by this structure? The humanitarian in me bristles, but ultimately answers yes.”
