		<description>Jan.28, 2006
Revolutions like biscuits come in many wrappers and in many flavors.

Revolutions may, or may not follow certian patterns. One can look at the &quot;Revolution&quot; in the United States, and the &quot;Orange Revolution&quot; in the Philippines, or the &quot;Revolution&quot; in the Former Soviet Georgia and see the Patterns-Fit-The-Needs-of-History.

There are &quot;Violent Revolutions&quot; and &quot;not so Violent Revolutions&quot;.
There are &quot;Revolutions from Above&quot; much like the American Revolution where the wealthy, well placed, land owners lead the masses,
and
&quot;Revolutions from Below&quot; like the Democratic Revolution in Nepal led by the 7-Largest Political Parties and their Student Organizations against a Despot-Corrupt-King.

In Nepal there in fact 2-Revolutions, both from Below, going on at the same time..
A relative Non-Violent 7-Party Democratic Revolution and a Violent-Revolution lead by the Maoist, who in 1996 chose to engage in
Armed-Struggle and started the Peoples War that has claimed 13,000 lives.

The Democratic and Maoist Revolutions in Nepal have found
common-ground in their struggle to establish a Republic, and even with the support of the US the days of the Monarchy are numbered.

What remains to be seen is, will there be a 3-rd Revolution, this time from Above, led by the RNA(Royal Nepal Army) Generals. Will those Armed-Forces and Police, trained and armed by the US, join the People and support a Republic or will the Generals continue to serve the interest of the wealthy and powerful ?
