The African Union under pressure not to elect Sudan as AU chair has now elected the President of Congo-Brazzaville, Denis Sassou-Nguesso who also has an negative human rights record. Black Star Journal names a few leaders that would have been a better choice - Thabo Mbeki, John Kuffour, Abdoulaye Wade, Festus Mogae, Amadou Toumani Touré.
