Syria: Syrian Youth

Majd in Hawa reflects on the state of mind of most Syrian youth. Before describing his sad encounter with a little beggar girl, he writes: “My finger joints crack as I look at the Arabic characters on my keyboard. I search for myself in the light of all circumstances. I look at the future that seems completely foggy. I reach a crossroads: I should either migrate and suffer, or stay in my country and suffer. I must choose among two types of suffering. The problem is that either way, I am heading towards the unknown.”
