Bangladesh bombs: Blog buzz

Bangladesh is in state of shock as suicidal squads of the banned Islamic outfit Jamayetul Mujahideen of Bangladesh (JMB) killed 9 persons and injured 23 by powerful improvised explosive devices (ieds) in two court compounds in Chittagong and Gazipur yesterday. One bomber died instantly and another one is in critical condition. Earlier this month such attempt killed two judges, but the bomber survived with injuries. The terrorist organization waged a jihad against the judicial system of Bangladesh as described in one leaflet:

“We don't want Taguti [non-Islamic] law, let Qur'anic law be introduced. Law framed by humans cannot continue and only the laws of Allah will prevail.”

JMB is still threatening judges, govt. high officials, police forces, schools and even foreign missions in Bangladesh. Meanwhile the security forces have not been able to do any headway to stop these bombings and threats as the kingpins of the JMB are still at large. The court compounds were heavily protected after the November 14 incident. In Chittagong court premises the suicide bomber detonated the bomb while being checked by the police and eyewitnesses say that the crowd of police was his target. According to JMB leaflets, they will not spare anyone who comes in to their way.

Lets read what the bloggers around the world are saying:

Bangladesh:

Blogger Rajputro is panicked “What’s coming next?”. Unheard Voices posts a link to one video footage and asks “Is the Prime Minister listening?”

The third world view comments: “All these make one wonder that this is part of a carefully planned agenda to divert people's attention from the upcoming election and other issues. This is a clear case of spreading panic if we look deep into the lunacy.”

Adda comments: “Jihadi terrorist groups are not part of the Bangladeshi community. They don't and won't reflect the inner heart of the Bangladeshi people. I can assure you that Bangladesh will never become Afghanistan. Bangladesh will uniquely wake up much earlier than that.”

Around the world:

Gina Cobb writes that terrorism is adding to Bangladesh's misery. The political pit bull reports that “Reaction to the attacks showed that the people of Bangladesh will not be intimidated by acts of terrorism.”

Gateway Pundit posts a content rich roundup. Clarity & resolve says “The isolated incidents of retrograde violence in God's name go on and on”.

The Big Pharao comments with sarcasm: “Bangladesh should end its occupation of Iraq NOW! Bangali troops, out of Iraq! I believe those who keep on linking Iraq to world terror should pack up and live in the south pole.”
