Therefore, the country is the less for it. He was a paragon of the many highly qualified Filipinos who simply could not successfully penetrate a political system desperately crying for genuine, well thought out, trickle down reforms, since the trade off would have been too great, short of martyrdom. It's indeed a crying shame that he was never afforded the opportunity to prove his mettle. Consequently, the pervasive status quo of self destructive governance remains all too real. God Bless Raul Roco and our beloved Philippines !
