With globalization approaching reality, you need to consider, I think: freedom of movement

If goods and services can freely move across borders, if corporations and capital can freely move across borders, then if people cannot it will not matter what other freedoms they have, they will be effectively powerless.

Joi - I think it's great that you're keeping this going. I hope that our commitment and motivation on Saturday doesn't wane away now that we're all back in the comfort of our own homes. I don't know if this would be considered a top priority, but I'm going to start a directory of bridge bloggers around the world and then make a visual diagram of how conversations are moving across borders and languages in the blogosphere.

Once I set up the database and submit page, I'll link to it here. These are the fields I've thought of including so far:

* Blog Name
* Author's Location
* Bridged to location
* URL
* RSS
* Language 1
* Language 2
* FOAF file

This way, using the RSS field, it would be extremely easy to set up a bridge blogger aggregator in bloglines. Any other suggestions?

Joi - You're absolutely not getting ahead of yourself. Thanks so much for helping keep us focused and ensuring that we don't lose the amazing energy and momentum we gained yesterday.

A couple of things we'll try to get going in the immediate future:

- A mailing list, hosted at Berkman, to allow folks to continue the conversation through that medium

- A Hiki on a Berkman server so we can move the pages from Hoder's page to a more public machine. We'll start a discussion on tools we'd like to work on (including those simple translations) and skills we'd like to offer on that Hiki.

- Alex and I will work on a first draft of the mission statement while we're enroute to NYC this evening.

Other things that should be top priority?
