I am really sad about the whole situation specially for that poor woman who probably have two or more family members to support. We are ethiopians and we all know how sad it is to lose someone from our family. The major reason is we all tight one another due to our economical problem. if someone lose his mom or dad, he might not have a future at all. My point is clear he ( Teddy Afro) killed someone who is innocent and very very ……….poor. He also run away from the event with out admitting he is wrong and without taking any responsiblity. That is very unethical and we all have to take responsibilities for every single action. Here is the scenario, the poor lady who work in Merkato as “gulit Cherchary” is going to her house to see her kids; since she doesn’t have enough money for transportation, she preferred to walk just like many poor ethiopians, On the other angle, the famous singer (teddy afro) and his freinds are coming out from the bar, they had some alcohol drink and very beautiful ethiopian women in their car, they were having fun and drive beyond the speed limit and knock over this poor woman. What shall the judge or the court should do? let the famous singer and his freinds free or shall the court punish him or his freinds?

He might be a great singer but he might be also criminal. when you are a judge you punish the criminals and let those who are innocent free from charge.

The poor doesn’t have to die because of ones carelessness or the rich shouldn’t get away with murder. It is a fact that the Ethiopian government used this as a way of silencing the mouth of the singer. But, at the same time the deceased would have been as famous as or even at a better position than the singer one day and for this reason Teddy has to pay the price. Just imagine if the victims were one of us or our loved ones. Then our story would have been different.
i’m somehow sceptic about the arrest and accusation. one thing i am sure of is that the meles govt and al moudin do not appreciate tedy’s popularity and the affection he has with the people.

Guilty or not, justice should be served although that may-be difficult in a country like Ethiopia. The question up for debate is wether or not he should have been granted bail.
