The blogger then offers a video of a French chef's recipe and adds that in Reunion, cousins have emerged made with cheese or pineapple.

Blogger Pierrot Dupuy laments (Fr) that Reunion will be represented by a Reunion-based Guadeloupean professor at an International Creole Festival taking place in Mauritius from December 1st to 3rd. Adds the blogger, the Festival will feature: “a culinary festival, a conference on Creolity and a mega concert featuring Zouk Machine, Francky Vincent, Kaoma and Kassav' alongside Mauritian artists.”

Christina announces (Fr) La Seance des Jeunes Realisateurs, a show on Mauritian television channel MBC3 that showcases local filmmakers. She writes: “Shorts by Mauritian filmmakers are finally being broadcast nationally. An occasion to see what local films are made of, to consume purely Mauritian fiction and documentary. Of course all pioneering films have weaknesses … But this is mostly about seeing what themes preoccupy our creatives and what our imaginary is made of.”

Reunion blogger Pierrot Dupuy announces (Fr) that the government of Mauritius plans to facilitate free internet access for 40% of its population by the end of the year.

Africa Unchained writes, “Karekezi, S…surveys (PDF) the dissemination of renewable technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa…and attempts to evaluate the potential for these technologies to meet the energy needs of Africa’s poor…“
